Buy remembrance for yourself..n its not cheap

And they say 'kya leke aye the,kya leke jaoga'
Translated, that would be 'neither you bring in anything into this world, nor do you leave this world taking back anything with you'
But what about the legacy that you leave behind,it does feel good to know that people will remember you even after your death...doesn't it?
Probably that is what drove someone like the very famous Steve Jobs to leave behind a legacy, a dream, which the world will savoir even though he might no longer be around.
His contributions...astounding,astonishing,amazing..people have said.
Sure they are....the way he has fast-tracked science into the territory of science- fiction,is really really wonderful.
Under him,Apple grew to at one point become the most valued organization in the Wall Street.
The way he used the basic computing technologies in the apple i-pad/pods made high tech technology available to millions of people across the globe.
Unfortunately,he died fighting cancer on the 5th of October,2011.
His death created a shock-wave across the world.
From New York to New Delhi..people mourned, news broadcasters cried aloud, world leaders delivered lengthy condolences.
Truly we lost a hero....so said the world in unison.

Cut to scene 2..12th of October,2011....

A 70 year old man was found dead at Berkeley Heights,New Jersey where he lived alone.
This man was a computer genius,so said some of the people.
A few drowsy eyed news people did deliver the news to the world, well not that all of the world was really interested, but still..
Named Dennis Ritchie, they said that this man was someone who had developed The Programming language C,and along with Ken Thompson developed an operating system called UNIX..

Big Deal???asked many....not so much BUT for the fact that UNIX is the operating system that runs most of the servers in the world.
And C is a language that made computing possible for the not so good computer programmers for whom computing is not all about binary codes.
Its on UNIX and C that the world of computers has been build on.

Oh so sad...in that case Dennis Ritchie's death was sad...
Maybe next year, when we remember the death anniversary of Steve Jobs,
we will also offer condolences to Mr Ritchie.
The problem is i-pods and Apple stores will make us remember Jobs,
the eye popping financial figures of Apple will always make Apple products the hip brands, and Mr Jobs the Icon.
Ritchie...we will try not to forget him, problem is...there is no Apple that he created, not even a store which could Sell his Genius to the world...

You were a great man Mr Ritchie, but were poor at marketing yourself,
unfortunately in this world,'Open Source' is not always the Best..
